We run an IT Internship for 5 local residents at a time. Each intern is introduced to Computer Maintancance & Refurbishing over several weeks. The programme is very flexible and mainly depends on the individual's desire to learn and willingness to tinker around!
During the internship, each participant becomes one of us and are covered by the same insurance policy applicabe to our staff. At the end of the internship there is an opportunity to be placed with another organisation to consolidate one's skills. MOst interns choose to volunteer at least one day per week - maintaining our own systems and at times fixing computers for members of the public or even building machines for donating to older people or those with disabilities.
